Old favorites

WP_20140816_003Yes, it’s that time of the year when the only thing I want to read (or should I say re-read) areWP_20140816_002 my favorite books.

Right now it’s Georgette Heyer and I can’t even begin to tell you how happy these books still make me feel. I’ve been reading GH books since for twenty-seven years and they still continue to give me as much pleasure now as the first time I cracked the spine. I can also never resist buying the old hardback versions when I see them, because the drawings on the dust covers are just so gorgeous.

Plus, they have seen me through all of my university exams, the birth of my children and many of my summer holidays. What about everyone else? What is your go-to favorite reads?WP_20140816_001
