GCC presents Kelly Parra

Hooray! Today I’m touring my lovely buddy, Kelly Parra and her new novella, Supernatural Hunters. Kelly first started writing about Jaz and Blake’s adventures in the two anthologies, Prom Dates to Die For and Something Wicked, but this is their first solo outing!!!

Supernatural Hunters

Supernatural teen hunters and kick-butt couple Jaz and Blake get trouble in their own backyard, the graveyard, when a ghoul is on the loose and looking for fresh meat. When a teen hunter on the verge of death arrives at their doorstep, they realize a much greater evil is upon them.

Jaz is satisfied with their makeshift foster family and fighting monsters, but Blake yearns for adventure and the truth about his biological family. Will Blake leave Jaz to search for something more…and to fend for herself? Can a relationship survive when death is lurking just beyond the gravestones?

“Just the right combination of butt-kicking and romance to keep you on the edge of your seat.” – Allison van Diepen, The Vampire Stalker

1 How did you come up with the idea for this book?

Kelly: Well, Jaz and Blake started from a short story. The first story was called “Darkness Becomes Him” in the PROM DATES TO DIE FOR anthology. I can’t really recall how the idea came about other than I LOVE paranormal books and I just wanted to have fun with my own teen characters as monster hunters.

2 What’s been your favorite author moment so far in your career?

Kelly: Definitely having my first novel GRAFFITI GIRL published and in my hands. It’s a beyond wonderful feeling to know that your hard work has paid off and you’re a published author.

3 It’s Oscar speech time! Who are the three people that you would most like to thank for helping you write this book?

Kelly: Always, my critique partner, Tina Ferraro, and Buzz Books for believing in my characters Jaz & Blake as they published their third adventure! And last, but definitely not least, my family! Love them to pieces!

4 Describe a typical writing day

Kelly: Go to work, come home for lunch and squeeze in some writing time. Go back to work, get the kids, deal with homework and practices, dinner, then back to writing!

5 Tell me one strange random fact about this book.

Kelly: In SUPERNATURAL HUNTERS, Jaz and Blake are on the hunt for a ghoul, but turns out they are really on hunt for someone that controls the ghouls—a necromancer.

And don’t forget to go and like Kelly’s Facebook page and enter her fab new competition!
